Volleyball Coach Intro

An introduction ceremony was held on Wednesday, May 24th, at 4:30 PM, in the Easley High School Gymnasium to announce Kara Morgan as the new Head Volleyball Coach at Easley High School.  Coach Morgan is coming to the Green Wave Nation after serving 1 year as the Assistant Varsity/JV Volleyball Coach at Eastside High School in Greenville, SC.  Prior to her assignment at Eastside, Coach Morgan served in various coaching assignments at Senatobia HS and Aberdeen HS, both in Mississippi.  She also has head coaching experience as a member of the Upward Stars Program in Spartanburg, SC.

Coach Morgan is a Pickens County native, graduating from Pickens HS in 2010 where she was a member of the varsity volleyball program, winning 3 State Championships.  After her career at Pickens HS, she received a full scholarship and was a 4 year letter-winner at the University of Mississippi.  While a member of the volleyball program at Ole Miss, Coach Morgan served as team captain her Junior and Senior season and earned SEC Honor Roll 4 Consecutive years.  She was also one of 100 players invited to attend the USA Volleyball Women’s National Team Open Tryout in 2012. .

Coach Morgan earned a BA in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Ole Miss in 2014 and added a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from her alma mater in 2016.  Kara will be teaching in the science department at Easley High School along with her duties as Head Volleyball Coach.
