The Easley High School Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Team earned their second straight victory to begin the season, defeating Seneca 57-49. Malaki Aleman paced the Green Wave offense with 17 points, while Cameron Moore added 14 and Jarrette McGuire tacked on 10.
The Green Wave fell behind early in the first quarter, as Seneca dominated the offensive backboards and turned their advantage into easy scoring opportunities. The Green Wave then rallied to take a 28-26 lead into halftime behind the hot shooting hands of Moore, Aleman, and Walker Garrison. The third quarter went back and forth between the two squads, before Easley found some separation early in the 4th quarter by forcing turnovers and converting them into easy points on the other end. McGuire had 7 of his 10 points in the final period.
The Green Wave (2-0) will travel to Pickens on Thursday for their first road contest of the season.
