The Easley High School JV Boys Basketball team defeated Wren High School 53-40 on Thursday night. Cameron Moore led all scorers with 19 points, while Malaki Aleman scored 13, and Dey’lon Smith added 9.
The Green Wave came out clicking on all cylinders, starting the game on an 18-0 run and leading 21-3 after the first quarter. The Hurricanes fought hard to get back in the game, cutting the Easley advantage to six points late in the second half. However, the Green Wave weathered the storm and seized control of the game with a 9-2 run in the closing minutes.
The EHS JV teams will begin Region 1 play with two road games next week as they travel to TL Hanna on Tuesday and Westside High School on Friday.
