Two EHS Pole Vaulters in USATF Hershey National Junior Olympics Track & Field Championships

Taylor Fox and Taylor Boyles are competing this weekend in the USA Track and Field National Championships in Greensboro, NC. The National Championships will be held at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T. Fox will vault in the 15-16 year old boy’s division at 9am Saturday 7/28. Boyles will vault the next day, also at 9am, competing in the 17-18 year old boy’s division.

To reach the championship meet each athlete had to qualify through a state and then a regional meet. On June 24th, Boyles won the SC meet in his age division at Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach with a height of 14’. Fox placed third in his division with an 11’10” vault. On July 8th in Rome Ga. in the Region 4 meet (SC, GA, FL) Fox was 2nd with a 12’2” vault and Boyles was 4th clearing 14’2”.

The national meet will consist of athletes who qualified from 16 regional meets across the United States.
