Green Wave News · Raymond set to lead Lady Wave Basketball

Easley High School did not have to look far to find their new Head Girls Basketball Coach.  Ivan Raymond, a graduate of Easley High School, will move from varsity assistant of the Boys Basketball Program to the Head Coach of the Girls Program effective immediately.  Coach Raymond has spent the last season working with Head Coach Mike Jones and the Boys Program where he was responsible for the off-season/in-season conditioning program, developing offensive/defensive game plans, game film breakdown, and other administrative duties.  Coach Raymond also has extensive experience coaching basketball in the lower state while teaching at Goose Creek High School prior to coming home to Easley.

“I couldn’t be more excited for Coach Raymond”, commented Coach Mike Jones.  “There is no question that he is going to be an outstanding head coach for the ladies.  I was very impressed with his basketball knowledge and I will miss him on my bench.”

Coach Raymond is a 2007 graduate of Easley High School where he lettered in both football and basketball.  Coach Raymond holds a MS Degree in Sports Administration and a BS Degree in Social Studies, both from Wingate University where he played on the Bulldog Football Team.  Ivan is married to Mrs. Jocelyn Raymond and lives in the Easley community.
