Each month the Sport Clips Spotlight will recognize our outstanding student-athletes who have accomplished great achievements or have demonstrated characteristics deserving of recognition. 

The following Easley High student-athletes are being acknowledged for their character, academic accomplishments, leadership skills, and service to others.



Preslee Owen – class of 2020

What sport(s) do you participate in at Easley High?

Varsity Volleyball

What is your favorite inspirational quote and who said it?

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded” – 2 Chronicles 15:7

Who is your favorite professional athlete & why?

Kayla Banworth – (Olympic libero) is my favorite professional athlete because she stops at nothing to achieve her dreams.  She started as a walk on at Nebraska and worked her way to being one of the best liberoes in the world

What is your favorite meal to eat?

Chick-fila

What is your favorite sports-related memory?

Singing the alma mater at the top of our lungs on the bus ride home from every away game

What is one thing on your bucket list?

Go to Bora Bora

What is one word that describes you & why?

Genuine – because I want what is best for everyone around me

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Graduating college with a degree in marketing

Football and Basketball

What is your favorite inspirational quote and who said it?

“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right” – Henry Ford

Who is your favorite professional athlete & why?

OBJ because he makes big plays

What is your favorite meal to eat?

BBQ

What is your favorite sports-related memory?

My brother throwing me a hook and ladder pass for a TD during my sophomore year.

What is one thing on your bucket list?

Visit New York City

What is one word that describes you & why?

Different- because I am from North Carolina where there is a different style of play

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Graduating college hopefully with a chance to compete in the draft
