EHS Green Wave watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 4-1 loss to Eastside on Wednesday. Eastside took the lead on a single in the second inning.
Eastside got things started in the second inning when Brody Fowler singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
Fowler earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Eastside. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over five innings, striking out two. #11 and Wyatt Spurrier entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Spurrier recorded the last two outs to earn the save for Eastside.
Brayden Owens took the loss for EHS Green Wave . He surrendered three runs on six hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one.
Luke Ryals led EHS Green Wave with two hits in four at bats.
Eastside tallied eight hits. Hunter Garlington and Spurrier each managed multiple hits for Eastside.
