Luke Ryals threw a shutout to lead EHS Green Wave past Woodmont 8-0 on Friday.
EHS Green Wave secured the victory thanks to five runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by EHS Green Wave was led by Brayden Owens, Deyvn Bond, Bennett Simon, and Banks Starbuck, all knocking in runs in the inning.

EHS Green Wave notched five runs in the fifth inning. EHS Green Wave ‘s big inning was driven by singles by Simon and Starbuck, a sacrifice fly by Owens, and an error on a ball put in play by Bond.

A single by Cody Thrasher in the first inning was a positive for Woodmont.

Ryals got the win for EHS Green Wave . He went seven innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, striking out three and walking one.

Colin Blue took the loss for Woodmont. He surrendered two runs on three hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

Ben Freeman went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead EHS Green Wave in hits.
Teddy Allen led Woodmont with two hits in three at bats.
